Shannon received a BS in Health Science (’99), MS in Physical Therapy (’01), and Clinical Doctorate in Physical Therapy (’04) all from Simmons College in Boston. She then lived and worked in Boston while seeing patients in an early intervention program, an acute care hospital with special care nursery, and finally at Franciscan Hospital for Children, a specialty hospital for children with special needs with inpatient rehab, pulmonary rehab, outpatient, psychiatric, aquatic and therapeutic day school settings. Shannon enjoyed the daily challenge of seeing such a wide variety of patients and settings all in a day, not to mention the hospital’s close relationship with the Boston Red Sox! Upon moving to Charlotte in 2008 to get married, Shannon continued to see a variety of pediatric patients and diagnoses in both home and outpatient settings. Shannon now enjoys working at Crossway on a part-time basis while being full-time Mom to two sweet and busy little girls at home.
