What is Supported Employment?
Crossway’s  Supported Employment program empowers adults with special needs or mental health challenges to achieve meaningful, long-term employment. We provide individualized support to help participants develop essential job skills, navigate the workplace, and build confidence in their professional abilities. By fostering collaboration with local businesses and organizations, our program creates inclusive opportunities that promote independence and self-sufficiency.
How It Works
  1. Personalized Career Planning
    • Each participant works with a dedicated employment specialist to identify strengths, interests, and career goals.
    • We create a tailored employment plan to match participants with roles that align with their skills and aspirations.
  2. Job Development and Placement
    • Partnering with local employers, we identify job opportunities that offer supportive and inclusive environments.
    • Participants receive guidance through the application and interview process.
  3. On-the-Job Support
    • Employment specialists provide hands-on training and workplace support during the onboarding process.
    • We offer ongoing coaching to address challenges, build skills, and ensure success.
  4. Workplace Advocacy and Collaboration
    • Our team collaborates with employers to foster understanding and create a positive, inclusive work culture.
  5. Continuous Skill Building
    • Participants engage in workshops and activities to enhance communication, time management, and other professional skills.
