As we journey with you and your children through these times, we at Crossway want to include you as well in the changes and celebrations.

In March, we joyfully welcomed Heather Draper as speech therapist as we said good bye to our lovely Marilyn. We continue to extend our welcome to Angie McCullough, PT, Amy White, ST and Jenna Anderson, OTR who recently joined our growing team in June! Hoorah for the new therapists! We are so excited to have you all as a part of our Crossway family!

Along the same lines, there may also be change on this journey that may be necessary for the fulfillment of personal goals. Specifically, Shellie King, our office manager recently accepted a new opportunity at a company that is located only 10 minutes from her house in Gastonia to better meet her family and personal needs and goals. We are happy for you Shellie!! Shellie has been extremely loyal to Crossway and to each of us personally and professional and will be greatly missed. Her last day is July 30, 2010. Let’s plan to give Shellie a wonderful send off with bells and whistles to thank her for all that she has done for Crossway.

We have already posted the position on Craig’s List, but due to the economy, you may be able to recommend a friend or neighbor who is looking for employment as a full time office manager. If so, please have them contact me at 704-607-0014 or shelley@crosswaytherapy.com. The applicant must be proficient in computer skills, have strong written and oral communication skills and can multitask. In the mean time, Mari Sanders continues to perform Medicaid billing and we have lots of temporary solutions as we research the just right fit for our next office manager.

Regarding the renovations to Suite 100 after the flooding that occurred on July 5, the team continues to implement creative and quality care to your child in the suite 105 as well as the temporary use of suite 150 (formerly Pump It Up). We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and the property management company is competently addressing the repair.

We are extremely grateful for the opportunity to work with you and your children and are always available for questions, suggestions or feedback.

Sincerely,

Shelley Portaro, OTR/L
