Angie earned her BS in Physical Therapy from Maryville University St. Louis in 1991. She provided therapy in the St. Louis area in a variety of settings including rehabilitation of CVA, Brain injury, and Spinal Cord injury, aquatic therapy, acute hospital, outpatient orthopedic, home health, and contract therapy - including work at a Missouri State school with children with quadriplegia, cerebral palsy, and autism which led to her decision to specialize in pediatrics. Since 1998 Angela has worked specifically in the Early Childhood and School Based therapy setting with children with orthopedic impairment, developmental delay, Down syndrome, autism, cerebral palsy, spina bifida, muscular dystrophy, neurofibromatosis, scoliosis, hypertonia, hypotonia, and balance and coordination deficits.
With 19 years experience as a physical therapist she can say that she absolutely loves her career as a PT and that it is a joy to assist children in gaining new skills that improve their independence and self confidence in life. Angela has recently moved to the Charlotte area with her husband and three children and is excited to be part of the Crossway Pediatric Therapy team.
Some of her most recent continuing education includes: Pediatric Myofascial Release, Neurodevelopmental (NDT) handling techniques, Brain Gym, Kinesiotaping, Every Move Counts, Therapeutic Yoga, Developmental Orthopedics & TheraTog applications, Vision Enhanced Therapy techniques, and Wheelchair Seating and Positioning.
